[VIDEO] Carefully framed roofline, finished using Colorbond® premium steel, engineered for high-performance environments and delivered in a matt finish to reduce reflection.
When structure, materials, and craftsmanship all pull their weight.
The Brief
Coastal homes are beautiful… until the salt air starts eating their roof alive. This project needed a roofing system that could withstand harsh sea spray, high winds, and year‑round exposure — without compromising the architect’s vision for a modern, matte aesthetic.
The System Choice
We specified and installed premium Colorbond steel in a matte finish, chosen for its corrosion resistance and reduced glare in bright coastal light. Every fixing, flashing, and junction was detailed to prevent salt intrusion and water tracking — the kind of work where shortcuts show up years later, so we simply don’t take them.
The Result
The result is a roof that looks refined, performs under pressure, and is engineered to outlast the coastal environment. It’s a clean, modern finish that protects the home while elevating its architectural presence.
Built to withstand the elements — admired for the view.
This project captures the transformation from a precisely engineered roof frame to a completed long-span metal roofing system. Designed for strength, weather resistance, and long-term performance in demanding coastal conditions, the matt finish helps reduce glare while delivering a clean, modern result. A great example of how expert planning, quality materials, and skilled installation come together to create a roof built to last — and this gorgeous coastal location is tempting enough to want to add a deck chair. A roof isn’t just a lid — it’s the home’s first line of defence.
